"The sound inside a closed home and the open world rarely combine.
On a brief visit to a beach home, I recorded the sound of acoustic guitar improvisation at 23:00 (11PM). At the same time, I put a microphone outside to capture the exact soundscape occurring while I performed.
Additionally, the next day, I recorded sounds at the beach (mainly of waves).
These are the three layers of the first four tracks. The final track is simply the outside environment and the waves (mostly two layers).

This combination allows for a unique auditory experience; hearing my improvisation on top of the improvisation of the outside world at the exact same time. There was an attempt to make many unique sounds in these recordings using what was at my disposal.

Tracks are named after the (approximate) time at which they occurred. Many different objects were used on this acoustic guitar, including one of its own broken strings. The guitar was my father's and well over a decade old."
